So … when you say that someone is “gehasselhofft” it means they’re really wasted. This was created on the basis of David Hasselhoff’s alcohol problems of course. I have to admit, I haven’t heard many people use it yet.

Hugh Hefner, ladies and gentlemen, is the perfect example of a “Hahn im Korb”. ;)
Men who are surrounded by or among many women are called “der Hahn im Korb” which literally translates to “rooster in the basket”. It’s because roosters live a polygamous life among several chicken.
der Hahn (Hähne) = rooster (-s)
das Huhn (Hühner) = chicken
der Korb (Körbe) = basket (-s)

Sooo… what is a Vollpfosten? Ein Vollpfosten basically is an idiot. It’s used in colloquial language and describes a human being (mostly used for males) that isn’t very smart… just like a piece of wood isn’t smart. One of the words I use btw ;)
voll = full; whole;
der Pfosten = pillar; pole;
