After the summer, I'm going to a gymnasium to continue studying. I'm entering in the 10. Klasse. Thing is, I'm not fluent in speaking the language, cause I've been here in Germany for about 6 months now.
My question is, if I don't do well in the gymnasium, will they really kick me out? I'm not a slacker, but I'm just nervous cause everyone's telling me that a gymnasium's like super hard and since I don't know the language, I might struggle. My past Deutsch teachers told me I could do it though. I don't know. I'm nervous!
Well, the Gymnasium is certainly the most difficult school in Germany. However, it’s curriculum and therefore the difficulty varies a bit between the Federal States. I don’t think they’d kick you out, don’t be worried! I’m sure your teachers will be very considerate and helpful. Of course it won’t be easy for you, but you can make it! Work hard and believe in your skills :)
