I typed “German recipes dumplings” into google and there were tons of English recipes found. I don’t know which one of them is the best unfortunately, so maybe you just give it a shot? Here in Germany you can actually buy ready-made potatoe dough which many people (including me ;)) use because making it from scratch with fresh potatoes is pretty time-consuming.
