You could start it off like this:

mein Herz sehnt sich so sehr nach dir. Dein Lächeln ist so schön wie der Abendstern am Nachthimmel…. (My dearest Daniel, my heart is longing for you so much. Your smile is as beautiful as the evening star in the night sky…)
Ehm….. ;) Well, I guess it’s difficult to write a love letter for somebody else - I don’t know what you feel and what you want to tell him :)
