Mmmmh…. das ist ein Schokokuss. A chocolate kiss. In Germany, we love our Schokoküsse. These yummy, chocolate-covered marshmellow treats have been popular for over 100 years.
What’s interesting is, that the name was changed. Before the 1980s, they were called “Negerkuss” (negro’s kiss) or “Mohrenkopf” (moor’s head), which is not a politically correct term of course ;) Nowadays “Schokokuss”, “Schaumkuss” or brand-specific names e.g. “Dickmanns” are common.
