In regard to my last #German #phrases tweet, I need to add something.
You will read a lot:
Ich bin allergisch gegen….
If the preposition “auf” is used, you might see the following phrase:
Ich reagiere allergisch auf….
However, it wasn’t easy to find whether “Ich bin allergisch gegen or auf” is correct ;) Apparently “auf” is used a lot, too although “gegen” seems to be grammatically correct. For example “allergisch auf” was used in the headline of this article of a popular German news magazine.
