The imperative of “sein”
posted 1 year ago
There are actually three different forms that you have to remember:
a) sei -> for the du-imperative (singular, informal you) as in: Sei still! Be quiet!
b) seid -> for the ihr-imperative (plural) as in: Seid still, Kinder! Be quiet, kids!
c) seien -> for the Sie-imperative (singular, formal you) as in: Seien Sie still! Be quiet!
