#German sentence structure: Middle of the clause

In the middle of a clause, the following order is valid:

1. Time

2. Objects

3. Manner

4. Place

Example:

Ich gehe heute mit meinem Freund nach der Arbeit ins Kino.

(S) (V) (time) - (object) - - (manner) - - (place) - .

Literally: I’m going today with my friend after work to the movies.
