The usage of "einfach"
Many of you may know the adjective “einfach” which translates to “easy”. But “einfach” can also be used in a different way.
“einfach” emphasizes that here are alternative possibilities. It usually corresponds to the English “simply” or in commands “just”.
Examples:
Ich bin einfach eingeschlafen. -> I simply fell asleep.

"There is / there are" in German
This lesson is very simple. Because both there is / are translate to “es gibt”. Which means you don’t have to memorize much ;)
Examples:
Es gibt ein gutes Restaurant in meiner Straße. There is a good restaurant in my street.
Es gibt gute Restaurants in meinem Viertel. There are good restaurants in my area.

Heute gibt es Salat zum...
