"glauben" und "denken" in German
The German verbs glauben [‘ɡl͜aubɘn] (reg.) = (to) think and denken [‘dɛnkɘn] (irreg.) = (to) think are probably not easy for beginners of German to differentiate. marieclairefinger-deactivated20 asked: I've been living in Germany for the past 5 months now. I've really liked it so far, I just don't know what to say when I go to the baker or in a shop and people say something like 'Have a nice day' and I want to tell them 'same to you' in polite form. The only thing I can think of is 'du auch' but it doesn't sound too good!

German numbers above 100
We have already learned how to count from 0 up to 100. audio counting from 0 - 10 audio counting from 11 - 20 audio counting up to 100 German numbers above 100 are combined in the same way as numbers above 20. All you do is add the word for 100, 200 etc in front of the two-figure number as in the example: 7 + 60 = siebenundsechzig; 400 + 7 + 60 = vierhundertsiebenundsechzig. Note that Germans...

camcron asked: To the person going to Berlin. There is a great company called New Europe Tours that gives great tours of Berlin. The cool thing about them is that their general tours work on a tips only basis. So you can go along on the tour and pay the guide what you think they earned. Its a great way to get good general information about a city and its history as well as orient yourself to the city.
