Smoking age limits in #Germany
We now know about drinking age limits here in Germany. But what about smoking? Before the laws were tightened in 2007, teenagers were permitted to smoke in public or buy tobacco and cigarettes as soon as they turned 16. The age limit is 18 now.
About 15 % of all German teenagers are smokers - compare this to e.g. California, where it’s only 8 %. (via wikipedia). Most of them smoke...

"Sie" versus "du" Part 1
“Wie geht es dir/euch (plural)? / Wie geht es Ihnen?” … both translate to “How are you?”. So what’s the difference and is it important to know?
